A HOT day in Death Vally

Frank & Stephan in Death Valley

Also in August we have visited the Starwars Canyon low flying route in Death Valley National Park. We brought a lot of sunscreen and a cooler packed with ice, food  and drinks to survive one of the warmest places on earth. We were on location to capture a low flying Netherlands Air Force F-35A that was flown out of nearby Edwards AFB by "Gladys". We've had a blast!

Visit to Luke AFB

Brig. Gen. Scott L. Pleus

Recently we have visited Luke AFB, AZ for the new Airpower II book project. At this the huge USAF base the Royal Netherlands Air Force will train their future F-35 pilots. For our chapter about F-35 pilot training we were given the opportunity to photograph on base and talk to squadron commanders and the wing Commander, Brig. Gen. Scott L. Pleus. The latter received a picture a Dutch F-35 from Frank as a sign of appreciation and thankfulness for the hospitality of the 56th FW. Photo by Stephan.
